About the role 🚀
Job Overview:
Location: Paris
Permanent role
The Head of Operational Excellence will play a pivotal role in driving the continuous improvement and efficiency of our operations including the supervision of operational quality. This position requires an inspiring leader with a passion for process optimization, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with local operations teams across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure that our operations scale effectively to meet the company strategy.
Your main missions:
Operational Strategy Development & Execution
- Define and apply the company's operational excellence strategy, aligning it with overall business goals.
- Drive the continuous improvement of core operational processes, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and meet customer and local market demands.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team productivity.
Process Optimization
- Analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements across the functions of Operations such as supply-chain & procurement, deployment and operation & maintenance.
- Collaborate with all teams, in particularly with Product team, Development team and Finance team to drive alignment on operational goals and deliverables.
- Introduce Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
- Define and standardize Process Management Handbook of the company, structuring the guidelines, instructions and operating mode, including for non-conformity with a following of implementation and expected improvement.
- Support the local team for recurrent troubleshooting and for local tenders in collaboration with Quality and Procurement services.
Change Management & Innovation
- Foster an Operations community diffusing a culture of collaboration and continuous learning to enhance team performance and knowledge-sharing through Local teams.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and tools.
- Lead initiatives to implement automation and digital transformation where appropriate to drive efficiency according with the global digital roadmap of the company.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing operational excellence team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and support to build skill sets and foster leadership growth.
- Ensure that the team is equipped with the tools, training, and resources needed to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular reports to the Operations team, highlighting progress on operational improvements, key initiatives, and performance metrics.
- Use data analytics to monitor operational performance and identify trends or potential risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary in collaboration with Quality service.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in operational management or operational excellence, with a proven track record of leading process optimization and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the manufacturing, BTP, or automotive sectors (particularly with EV-related technologies) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a scale-up or high-growth organization is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
